I'm a people person, just doing people things. I love to travel, hike, and ride a bike. I ride everywhere, and have made it a challenge in my life to try to see how long I can live without a car. I love problem solving and learning, hanging out, and getting to meet people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just got back from traveling through Morocco, Spain and a few other countries in Europe where I heard great stories about couch surfing! Immediately after traveling, I moved across the country to start a new job in California, and I'm looking to explore my new home on the west coast!

I like a lot of music, but I'm pretty partial to bands like: Queen, The Thermals, Neutral Milk Hotel, Rilo Kiley, Modest Mouse.

I love love love love to watch movies. Some of my favorites are Birdman, Royal Tennenbaums, Big Lebowski, Terminator, Alien.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I managed to rent an apartment in Marrakech for a month from a stranger. He only spoke French, and I only spoke English. I started off asking a friendly waiter at a cafe if he knew of anyone renting a room or apartment for cheap, and he got me set up with a friend of his who took me to see the apartment. It was a long process, but I managed to not only get the apartment but to negotiate the price down. It was a wild day.
