About Me
I am a widower with kids who are now launched in the world and dealing independently. Time for some me time!
I am a semi-retired digital nomad. My area of expertise is Digital Identity; how to build large distributed, international systems that respect individual privacy and sovereignty. Most of the time I'm working on a couple of interesting projects.
I'm also a 'maker' I work with wood, metal, glass and often like to throw in a digital component just for fun... Got a project you need help with?
Traveling the world for a while hoping to meet interesting people, learn new stuff and spread some kindness where I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm thinking about Couchsurfing because I don't want to just go to places and observe, I want to meet people, learn about the places that I'm visiting. I want to hear about amazing local artisans doing amazing work that I might be able to learn from. I want to learn about the local community center that could really use some help installing a new floor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have had a very rich and full life. I've lived on 3 continents (over 15 years on each). I've had several successful careers (from Tractor Mechanic to CTO to Fashion Mogul, and others)... The most amazing thing I've done... Raised two wonderful, loving, independent kids to adulthood.
Teach, Learn, Share
For many years I have made Edible Oils. I ran a Community Olive Oil Press and I have built and run several types of seed and nut oil presses. I love sharing what I have learned about the nutrition and craft of fresh, local oils.
