ABOUT ME

I'm 22 years old, and and international relations major at UCSB, but have been studying abroad in Berlin since August 08'. In the US I rode horses professionally and enjoyed the beautiful weather and beaches of Santa Barbara. It's hard to get accustom to the dreary weather of Berlin, but I'm still having the experience of my life! I am very social, I love to talk to pretty much anyone and learn about cultures, languages and pretty much anything else.

I'm very spontaneous and I adapt very well to new places and situations. Sometimes I make huge life changing decisions on the spur of the moment, and just go with it (like moving across the world, getting tattoos, buying horses) I am very social and I love hanging out with friends with a few parties here and there but I can be very independent as well.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have just joined the Couch Surfing site, and have yet to participate in it. I have heard many good things about the system, and can't wait to be back in the states to offer my couch for travelers! Unfortunately, I do not have the ability to host while living in Berlin, but look forward to doing so when I return to Santa Barbara. I'm a HUGE animal lover, and so once I go back to the states and can start hosting, you guys will have to be alright with my zoo that I have. Just be thankful that my horses don't want to share your bed with you like the dogs might try to do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a virgin couch surfer now, but have heard so many good things that I can't wait to get started.

Interests

Reading, talking, languages (especially German!), cultures, some tv, some drinking, and horses. Oh, and although I don't look it, I love video games! (deep respect will be given to any that can beat me in Guitar Hero. I absolutely love animals, and practically have a zoo at my house. I've owned 3 horses, dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, chickens, a goat... even two pet turkeys!

I also have a huge interest in learning. Not just anything, but anything about science and nature or about the human physiology. I watch a lot of documentaries, taught myself how to speed read, want to learn as many languages as I can, and want to be in the Olympics one day for equestrian jumping.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a wide variety of music, but not country (not even really music). Movies: I like to keep an open mind about all types of genres, but action, fantasy, and science fiction are my favorite. Books: again, fantasy and science fiction are my favorite... I can be a bit of a dork

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Santa Barbara there lives a homeless man who walks around with a dog, a cat, and a mouse... but he has trained the cat to stay on the dogs back, and taught the mouse to stay on the cats back, and they just walk along like that down the road!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach? Well, I can teach you how to jump horses... or maybe English grammar, but that's boring. Oh and I can give you some tips on speed reading. Learn? I recently discovered my passion for learning languages, so although I'm only just starting my 3rd one, I hope to know as many as I can. Share? Share your culture with me!
