ABOUT ME

It's hard to describe people in a sentence or a paragraph, even. I guess, when I am not grading my students' essays, I'm meditating, thinking about art (but not making near enough), lamenting my laziness when it comes to language learning, or reading a book. I'm interested in learning all of the time and in self-reflection, as well as discovering shared and differing sensibilities through conversation.

I've hosted tens of people at my place throughout the years, and met a very dear friend of mine this way, incidentally.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I sold my first piece of artwork when I was 15; it was a skeleton; this construction worker bought it, and all he owned was a plastic lawn chair and a bunch of cats, and art on the walls. He paid way too much money for my teen years drawing. An act of....faith, maybe?

Tell me about how you perceive the world.
I can teach you how to say greetings in Pashto & Urdu. Adab. Singa chalay. Sturey mashey, and now some Russian. A little Farsi, a little Turkish.
I can teach a bit of drawing, and I'd love to learn how to play chess and I like card games a lot but none of my friends play them :P

Also certain other lifehacks, like how to use hairspray to get stains out of clothes, how to use vinegar to clean your house, how to use olive oil as a skin and hair care product, and probably a manner of other things.
