About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make the most of life to learn and share as much as possible!

ABOUT ME

I'm a calm, pragmatic, optimistic, curious, flexible, reliable, friendly, tolerant, independent, open-minded, non-fundamentalist, left-wing, gay atheist. I teach physics and if I achieve my students to learn how cruel and unfair is this world for most of the world population, I am satisfied, hehehe. ;-) I enjoy nature, simple things in life, the human and artistic side of human beens, and people who understand that we are human beings and not objects of market. Go shopping is something I do just when I need but it isn't an activity I enjoy. Not much into celebrities or partying, and much so into one-on-one conversations or just shering living.

PHILOSOPHY

"Man's capacity for justice makes democracy possible, but man's inclination to injustice makes democracy necessary." Reinhold Niebuhr
In my words:
· Consumerism is a lack of respect to the world where you live and human beings with whom you live.
· I do think polyamory is more in touch with human's way of feeling than with social pressure and conditioning.
· Money cannot be a goal. Human rights, sustainability, love and art must be more important than profit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting people, showing my city (when possible) and sharing travel tips.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm not experiencing much. But when Carla and Sylvia stayed at home or met Imke I had a very great time.

Interests

I like to travel but I prefer to do it with someone. I love the beauty of nature and historically important places. I prefer to stay in a place knowing the culture and people more than been changing place every day. And I also prefer to go where usually few tourists go.

I'm also interested in philosophy, linguistics, queer theory, sociology, literature, music, ballet, dance, gymnastics, science, history (universal, of art, of religions), anthropology, astronomy, cycling, tango, etc...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Falling in love! Making friends. To live in another country and know other culture. To participate in an GLTB social organization. And to learn not waste my time with commercial culture when in fact life is not long enough just to enjoy the best of art and human creation. :)
Have also visited places of indescribable natural beauty, such as caverns, sinkholes, waterfalls, mountains, hills, grasslands, rivers, estuaries, jungles, forests, dunes, marshes, lakes, caves, canyons, beaches, volcanoes, etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a tango dancer and teacher, then if you want to learn something about dancing tango I can share that with you! I can also help with Spanish.
