About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To squeeze as many unique experiences into my life as possible.
ABOUT ME
So far in my short adult life I have been able to live in a variety of places and make friends with many different personalities. And nothing accommodates an adventure better than a network full of fellow world-explorers. As much as I love museums and historical architecture I have just as much interest in riding bicycles through the countryside.
I get the most satisfaction from creating things. I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts in photography. I've tried to learn lots of instruments and only recently have I been comfortable enough to admit that the clarinet was one of them. I have a twin sister who lived in Spain and made me considerably jealous. I like to knit, although I can only make rectangles. I hope to one day live on a boat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My husband and I move around a lot but we always make sure to rent a place with an extra bedroom because we love to have visitors.

Interests
I like making things. I like cooking, painting, sewing, gluing, sculpting, and photographing. I enjoy them even more with people. I like playing music, exploring the outdoors, and going to garage sales. I like to have busy, full days with a little time at the end to read a book (or just look at a book for 30 seconds and then fall asleep).

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, Bob Dylan, John Lee Hooker, Son House, Billie Holiday, Cat Stevens, Tool, Bob Marley, Pinback, The Decemberists, Talib Kweli, Danger Doom, Elliot Smith, Cat Power, Mos Def, The Black Keys, RJD2, The Carpenters, M. Ward...
I like Wes Anderson movies, Disney movies, super propaganda-y environmental documentaries, the classics, and every now and then I get in the mood to watch totally mind-numbing, testosterone-filled action movies while eating junk food.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1. I saw the band Sigur Ros at the Red Rocks amphitheater in Denver, CO. It was fall and the drive to Denver was beautiful. It was a warm, still night which fit the music perfectly and combined with the breathtaking venue carved into the rock, I couldn't have asked for anything more. Except, maybe, to have not eaten that last rattlesnake empanada.
2. Snorkeling for the first time.
3. A few years ago it snowed in Seattle and everything shut down. None of the roads were plowed so people were stuck at home. Queen Anne Hill, which is normally full of cars, was covered with people sledding on cookie sheets, plastic bags, anything they could find (someone tried to sled on a couch). The snow seemed to white out the city and put it on mute. It was just purely people. There was a completely different energy. I wish I was able to explain it better than that!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to re-wire electrical sockets and light switches, how to stain wood, how to light a photograph, how to cook vegan food, and how to play music.
I want to learn how to fix bicycles and how to dance.
I want to meet people who like to play music or like to have their picture taken.
