ABOUT ME

After having settled down in Switzerland four years ago, the need for travel is growing strong inside me again. How long before I hit the road again? Couple of months I guess. In the meanwhile I stick a little bit to the places that are not so far away. Europe is a good place actually. So many different cultures within so little space.
Well, I guess that wasn't all about me. (I hope). I am in a phase of change, so I will write more about me here, when the transition has finished (roughly at the age of 87).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Not so very often, I must admit. I offer my couch sometimes. And I use couchsurfing when I travel. But more often I just get my sleeping back anzolld camp somewhere, preferably at the beach... Though, I found myself in hotel rooms during winter. My coming of age takes its toll. Before I realize I will find myself in a luxury 5 stars presidenital suite...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Bergen (Norway), Nice, Clermont-Ferrand (France), Switzerland, some cities in Germany. It has always been a very nice experience and a great opportunity to meet generous and welcoming people.

Music? Groovy stuff somewhere between good old Blues, Klezmer, Gypsy Music and TripHop. Goa is kind of my latest favorite. And more and more Latin music. However, R'n'B free zone!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A warm spring evening at the Corsican coast, when the sun is setting down in violett-red colors and the swell is good, get into the kajaks, put them on the waves and ride down... and then, when the wave breaks and the ground suddenly disappears in front of you, your 2m long boat get swallowed whole and you do a kind of unvoluntarily front-loop. Jippie!
