HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hmm---day to day-----connecting with people about the human experience----empathy, sympathy, listening, sharing, being of service when possible...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

a # of years ago I found myself in Berkeley, CA with no place to stay...and an ex- hooked me up with a true alms-giver---a gal confined to a wheelchair with MD----she took me into her apt., I slept on the floor, and stayed with her for weeks and we ended up becoming the best of friends...it was couchsurfing before CS was born... :) Couchsurfing in some form has always been a part of my life.

Interests

Travelling, hiking, good music, Cinema, finding the romantic in as much as possible, Exercise, good food, international foods, dancing, laughing, camping, reading literature to current affairs, connecting with the global community---

Movies? Braveheart, Whalerider, Libertine, Croupier, Elizabeth, Harold & Maude, Trainspotting, My Left Foot, old Hollywood classics, Motorcycle Diaries, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, a range of foreign films...
Music? Mozart for sure. Most everything but metal and too syrupy generic pop... Love global, house, trance, ambient, rock, alternative, dance, r & b, some techno, big Band, some country, etc.
Books: Shantaram!!! Biographies, Spiritual books, nutrition/self-help/alternativ e medicine books,...
Poetry, Rumi, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in Alaska for almost a year---camping on the beach with other seekers----amazing.
