About Me

Hello everyone! I wanted to share a little bit about myself. My name is Bülent, and I'm a passionate photographer with a focus on capturing the beauty of fine art. Through my lens, I strive to create captivating images that evoke emotions and tell unique stories.

But my love for photography goes hand in hand with my love for exploration. I believe that traveling is an incredible source of inspiration, as it exposes me to diverse cultures, stunning landscapes, and fascinating people from all walks of life. Whenever I have the chance, I embark on new adventures, seeking out hidden gems and iconic landmarks around the globe.

One of the aspects I truly enjoy about my journey is the opportunity to connect with people along the way. Hosting guests and engaging with locals enriches my experiences, as it allows me to learn about different perspectives, traditions, and ways of life. There's something magical about opening my home to fellow travelers, sharing stories, and forging meaningful connections that transcend borders.

Through photography and travel, I strive to break down barriers and discover the beauty that unites us all. Join me on this incredible journey as I continue to seek out the extraordinary in the ordinary, one frame at a time. Let's explore the world together and unlock the doors to a whole new realm of wonder and inspiration!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to use an application called Couchsurfing in the past. I hadn't been using it for a while, but I recently reactivated it because I enjoy making new friends during my travels. One of the features I love about Couchsurfing is the opportunity to host the friends I've made and reciprocate their hospitality by visiting them in Istanbul, strengthening our friendship.

Being able to welcome guests from different parts of the world into my home and show them around the city, sharing Turkish culture, is a truly rewarding experience for both me and my guests. It creates unforgettable memories for them and allows me to forge new friendships and connections. Afterwards, visiting their cities as a guest and further solidifying our friendship is one of the aspects of Couchsurfing that I cherish the most.

Couchsurfing is not just a means of accommodation while traveling, but it also offers cultural exchange, friendship, and the experience of hospitality. Rediscovering Couchsurfing and engaging with new people during my travels has been incredibly valuable to me, as it allows me to meet fascinating individuals and have unique experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled across all cities of my own country, Turkey, hitchhiking between 2016 and 2018. It was truly an amazing adventure! The people I met along the way, the local cultures I discovered, and the extraordinary landscapes I witnessed left a lasting impression on me. Traveling by hitchhiking brings freedom and the thrill of making spontaneous decisions. Exploring new places every day, taking unknown paths, and living in the moment was truly exhilarating. Discovering Turkey's rich history and natural beauty in this way was an unforgettable experience for me. Hitchhiking is not just about exploring places, but also about getting to know people and their cultures. This adventure has become one of the most precious memories of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning languages, traveling, and teaching photography are all fascinating aspects of your interests.

Photography serves as a visual storytelling tool. It allows you to see the world from a unique perspective. With the ability to capture different compositions, play with light, and seize the moment, you can share the beauty you witness with others and immortalize your memories.

Food: Sharing meals is a wonderful way to connect with your host. You can cook traditional dishes from your own country or ask your host for recipes to experience their culinary culture.

Hobbies and interests: Discussing common hobbies and interests helps build a bond. You might find shared interests in music, art, sports, or nature.

Your host's city: Learn about your host's city. Share recommendations for places to visit, restaurants, tourist attractions, or local events, and explore the city with your host as your guide.

Language and cultural learning: If you are interested in learning or improving your host's language, practice with them. Similarly, you can offer to learn phrases or vocabulary from your host's language.
