About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling and seeing different places

ABOUT ME

I have been raised in Gaziantep, a city south east of Turkey. Very hot and dry place during summers. After high school I left my hometown and lived first in Istanbul, a short period in Krakow/Poland, then in Sweden(Gothenburg or Stockholm), and now I moved to Tokyo.

Coming from east of Turkey and then living in west of Turkey and Europe, I could say that I have a nice cultural diversity. Turkey is an interesting place where you can find both Eastern culture and Western culture. It is really a mixture. Because of this cultural diversity, I like to discover different cultures as well.

Because of my analytic mind, since childhood I get along well with computers. And now it is my work. I am not a nerd on computers, but I am quite good at programming.

I like discovering and learning things a lot. Lucky me that I travel a lot for my work so I can travel to different places of the world and discover. Now my passion is learning Japanese. Japanese is like a whole new world with different alphabet and style so it is very appealing to me.

PHILOSOPHY

Explore new things, myself and the world. I love learning things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've joined CS in 2009 and I had great experience so far. I've hosted people from different countries and attended many CS events. But never surfed anyones couch actually because I travel mostly for work.

Interests

I love Japanese animes, they are a lot of fun. There are three animes I follow weekly and many others I watch. I now started to read Japanese manga as well, both for fun and practicing Japanese reading skills.

I like listening to music, not listening while doing something else, laying down and just listening to music. Mostly progressive rock but I like nearly any music.

Video games are also one of my hobbies, but I don't have time for it anymore recently.

I like watching Japanese animes, my favorites are Naruto, Bleach and One Piece. I love listening to Opeth. A great band, best band in the world IMO. My second band is Dream Theatre.

I am learning Japanese and Japanese culture.
