I live in Thailand but have traveled a fair amount. I like meeting interesting and intelligent people. I don't smoke and rarely drink, no hard liquor. I am interested in all sorts of subjects like history, internet, travel, economics.

I studied Zen Buddhism after finishing University as a monk for 13 years. In 2004, I came to Thailand so i could continue meditation practice. Spent a lot of time traveling in Thailand, and several years in China.

I'm interested in making contacts with Russians since I am from the USA and want to find common ground with Russians. I have studied Russian history and appreciate the many challenges that Russia faces. I hope to visit historical and cultural sites in Russia, such as in Moscow, Volgograd and Crimea.

I am looking for both interesting people in cities I visit. Traditional hotels are both expensive and impersonal. It's way better to actually meet people in another country and get to know them personally.

I climbed the Great Wall of China, and was probably one of the few Americans to go to Moscow for Victory Day in 2015 and then in Sevastopol for a week.
