I am always looking for an adventure. I love learning new things and am always willing to try. I am currently a junior at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon majoring in Civic Communications and Media and minoring in French. I have been speaking French for the past 15 years. I am pursuing a Communications degree because I feel it vital to communicate in front of human beings for whatever occasion it may be. Communication is vital to the progression of all facets of life. Clarity of vocal expression is something I constantly seek to improve.

While I am not sure on what I want to pursue after I graduate Willamette in the spring of 2017, I know that I want to pursue something that doesn't involve me sitting in a cubicle for decades. I want to consistently travel and make as many human connections as I can while on this beautiful earth.

The reason why I am abroad now is not only to speak French but is to meet new people, compare, contrast, and learn different cultural values with friends and acquaintances. I also feel it important to study abroad in Europe to develop my understanding of the self. I feel blessed to explore previously untouched aspects of my identity while here in the historically and culturally rich European continent.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While studying abroad in France, being the poor college student that I am, I want to explore Europe as much as possible as cheaply as I can. Couchsurfing is something I want to experience as I familiarize myself with the plethora of countries here in Europe.

I get to meet new people and save money at the same time! What is better than that?! :)

I love fitness. I enjoy running, swimming, and weightlifting. Drinking tea is a must. I enjoy philosophical, existential, and scientific conversations about the unknown - which is pretty much everything...

I am adopted. I am the oldest of eight children. I was adopted at birth along with my second oldest brother, Ian. The rest of my brothers and sisters were not put up for adoption as they are being raised by my birth parents.
