Overview
About Me
I'm a bicoastal visual artist based in LA. I backpacked from the east coast in 2010, and lived in an monastery until 2016, when I took out a loan to buy a camper van and resume my art career. Since then I built a whole new body of work in sumi ink, constructed an online sales funnel and was accepted to the Los Angeles Art Association. It's still going to take me a little while to get things straight financially, but I live a simple life, so it made sense to me to check out couchsurfing in case of emergency.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am still in the early stages of my art career, and I'm struggling to survive. I'm on couch-surfing to make friends and share my art while I gradually develop my career.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like Kirtan music the most, but I appreciate a wide variety of music; mostly folk, blues, world, and I'm getting into hiphop. I don't watch a whole lot of movies, but when I do I'm into Hayao Miyazaki. As far as books go, I love Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam, the Upanishads, and all the other great scriptures and epics, plus classics like Milton, Dante, Blake, Shakespeare, the American Transcendentalists, the Beat Poets, Tom Robbins, David Foster Wallace... and pretty much anything on art, history, or philosophy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived as a monk for five years, and travelled across the country teaching meditation at universities and festivals.
