Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Eric, I originally hail from a little-known place in the US called New York. I have many titles, including music-enthusiast, cyclist, (small) mountain climber, wannabe Pokemon master, scuba diver, and most importantly, a student of the world.
One of the most important things for me is to be accepting of everyone, regardless of financial situation, religion etc. I give back to my community as much as I possibly can. I currently help underprivileged high school students get into college. Back in the day in Memphis, USA, I was a huge advocate and supporter of our homeless community. My first job was in a soup kitchen.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Currently having a quarter life crisis and trying to figure out what I want from life. My idea is to backpack all over Southeast Asia for a few months in 2018 and would love to make inspiring new friends and travel buddies. I want to learn your life story and in turn, will share mine.

Music, Movies, and Books
The book that impacted my life the most is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Growing up, I used to loveeee Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister, an all time classic - you just cant find books with hearty life lessons like that anymore!
The best song of all time is Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, although I will settle for All Star by Smash Mouth. I'll never admit it but Justin Bieber's new music is actually pretty good......
My favorite movie of all time is a tie between Space Jam and Pulp Fiction, which are two very different movies. Anything with Bill Murray does the trick.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My name is Baby Daiter according to my birth certificate.
I ran a newspaper in Memphis, Tennesee USA entirely written by the homeless community.
I played Bruce Springsteen in paintball and once gave a science presentation in middle school with a pencil eraser stuck up my nose (no one noticed).
I summited a mountain in Switzerland with my brother, that is my most athletic accomplishment to this day.

Teach, Learn, Share
I have plenty of stories and adventures that I can share about growing up in America (good and bad). I love all things music and cooking and can share my knowledge of US culture. I know how to play most card and drinking games if this interests you!
