About Me
Hello! My name is Eric Frazee, and I am from The United States of America!
I am currently living in a small town in Mie prefecture called Kihoku town! Kihoku is famous for having Kumano kodo (熊野古道) which are historical pilgrimage routes, now a popular location for hiking! I am working as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) through JET. I became an ALT because I value cultural exchange and believe it is important.
I am an openminded and easygoing guy who enjoys trying new things and having a good time. I hope I can make new friends through couch surfing and learn new things along the way. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I am quite eclectic when it comes to music. I enjoy many different genres, but especially electronic, EDM, J-pop, K-pop, classical, and soundtracks.
Some of my favorite artists are 宇多田ヒカル, Perfume, Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Clean Bandit, Big Bang, Joe Hisaishi (composed many Ghibli soundtracks), and many more!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was involved with the Tsunami Relief Project by Ohio University and Iwate Prefectural University in Iwate Prefecture.
We participated in local cultural activities, delivered bottled water and tea to residents, and generally introduced ourselves to and talked with the local survivors as we moved through each community. This variety of volunteerism was called "Mizubora," or "Water Volunteerism."
One of the benefits of working with a large group of well-meaning people is that I could make new friends! We spent so much time together with those whom we weren't, until then, so familiar with, and through activities and engaging with the residents, we made memories for life!
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to share about my culture and learn about other people's culture through real life experiences.
