Overview
About Me
HOSTING:
I am currently backpacking Europe for 6 months, so I am unable to host. I am looking forward to doing so to repay all the generosity I have received.
CURRENT MISSION:
Make it from Iceland to Istanbul, then Bulgaria to Barcelona. I want to experience the world and all its diversity of culture.
ABOUT ME:
I am 26 or 27 and a bit of an introvert. I love traveling, conversation, the outdoors and board games. I find that if I let myself sit still I'm likely to get complacent, so I decided to take 6 months and explore. I'm not sure how my journey will change me, so I'll be updating this section as I go.
PHILOSOPHY:
In order to get somewhere you've never been you have to be willing to do something you've never done.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING:
I'm currently traveling, so while I can't host, I'm actively looking to meet fellow surfers along the way.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE:
I'm still pretty new to couch surfing, but you've got to start somewhere right?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My younger brother and I wanted to go hiking together in the Appalachians so bad one winter that we ended up getting our maps, fuel, and some fuel for free from the local gear shop for being crazy enough to attempt a week-long trip in blizzard conditions (-25C, 95kph gusts). Every spring we stopped at for water was frozen, every rock scramble required chipping through a cm of ice for any friction, and we probably looked like fools searching for white trail blazes under layers of milky ice in the snow. It was miserable, but I can't wait to do it again!
We went back in the summer and covered the same distance casually in half the time.
