I was grown up in Chengdu, China - a city that is known for its spicy food. In 2015, during my early twenties, when I just finished my first university degree, I came to New Zealand to take a gap year and explore life opportunities. Landing in this wonderful country alone with my 70L backpack, I have ever since done a lot of traditional backpacker things and then back to uni again in Dunedin to start pursue my career passions. Now I am settling myself in Auckland working full time in category management.

I have had a decent amount of Couchsurfing experience, prior to and during my backpacking time in New Zealand. It was so great to meet new people, make friends and learn things from others I would have not learned elsewhere. However, I paused using Couchsurfing when I was settling down as a professional focusing on my work, but now I am re-starting to use this platform to inject some new ideas into my life and also memorise those valuable moments I had in the past.

There are all sorts of ways to live a life, and the question of 'what my life really is' can be answered in million ways. Music: Country/Folk, Rock band 'Mayday', Fingerstyle guitar - I like music that has got a nice melody and profound lyrics, perhaps I am a poet at heart.
Movies: 'Into the wild', 'Brokeback Mountain' - I am naturally attracted to movies that are road-trip theme-based or portray a peaceful country lifestyle.
