About Me
Hey, I'm Eric! I live near Detroit, MI and work remotely so I can visit sunny skies during the dark and depressing Michigan winters. I'm a goofy person who likes to travel, play music, hike, hammock, and build large-scale interactive art installations.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I often travel alone, but I love meeting and connecting with people wherever I travel. I've heard that Couchsurfing can help you connect with really kind and generous people all around the world, and I'm interested in sharing my resources with that type of community.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love upbeat chill music like Bonobo, Tourist, and Odesza, psych rock like Tame Impala, Pond, and Melody's Echo Chamber, and lots of new-age disco and funk like Parcels, Roosevelt, and Will Sessions, and also some bedroom pop like Beach House, Men I Trust, and The Undercover Dream Lovers. I don't watch a lot of movies, but I love classic dystopian novels like Brave New World, 1984, and Clockwork Orange.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One really cool thing I've done is built an art installation called the Glow Shack, which was a temporary standalone shack where all the walls were made of glow-in-the-dark material. We made a little UV flashbulb box that you could use to make silhouettes, and gave out UV LED lights to draw on the walls.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have little to teach, but I'm always happy to share my knowledge of music, web development, and theatre games, and I'm always trying to learn where the best hiking and hammock spots are.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to share food, house labor, and terrible jokes :)
