Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently out of work, but still love to travel. So, I would still like to be able to see and do what I can without spending a fortune. I've met lots of people along my travels and have heard lots of great things about couchsurfing. Up until now, I've had extra money to pay for hotels or hostels during my travels. But now an opportunity came about to take a road trip with a friend who also needs to save money. I thought back to all the great people I met on my travels and couchsurfing popped into my head, and I said, let's give it a try! I'm interested in meeting locals and seeing how they spend their time. I'm a foodie. So I love insider tips about where the locals go for good food and entertainment.
