About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet people and learn about who they are & where they come from. To slow down for a bit and take in the world as it is. To discover new perspectives and open myself up to different ways of being. To leave the computers behind for the time being.

ABOUT ME

I have spent most of my life in and around New York City, and I have decided its time to get away from the skyscrapers for a bit, and see the rest of the world. At the moment, I am enjoying being without a job and exploring as much as I can.

My last paying gig was as a web developer for an internet media company. I enjoy the craft of creating good software, as well as sharing that knowledge in the classroom with high school students. However, for the moment, I am putting the computer down and reminding myself what it is like to have less internet in your life. I am usually happy if I am hiking through the woods or up a mountain, or traveling the New York City streets by bicycle

If you spend a little time with me, I think you will find I am quick to laugh, and generally a pretty laid back person open to whatever you throw at me. When I travel, I try to take my time and see how things unfold from day to day.

PHILOSOPHY

You hear a lot more when you are listening.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to couchsurfing, and I am looking forward to exploring new places through the eyes of the people I meet along the way.

I am currently without a home as I have decided to take some time to travel for the next year so I don't have a place to host people at the moment. However, as soon as I have settled myself back down again, I will gladly open myself and my home up to anyone looking to explore a new place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Solo hiking trip through the Presidential mountain range in New Hampshire. I did not quite know what I was getting myself into with some of the most extreme weather in the U.S. Made friends along the way and saw beautiful sites.

What I Can Share with Hosts

For anyone looking to travel to New York, I am happy to share my experiences of the Big Apple and all its craziness. I will also be happy to share the few amusing stories I have picked up in my travels.

If you are ever in the mood for frozen cocktails and own a blender, I can make you the greatest piña colada you will ever drink.

I would not describe myself as an all star cook, but I am happy to jump in the kitchen and help out and learn.
