I'm originally from Los Angeles and of Salvadoran descent, so I speak Spanish. I consider myself laid back, open, curious, and approachable - which has helped in getting around these few days. I'm into live music (go to at least 2-3 shows a month) and I even play in a band (I play lead guitar). Any music recs and I'm there!

I first learned about CouchSurfing swhen I was studying abroad in Prague in 2008. My room mate at the time was really into CouchSurfing and I met it's amazing community through him.

I'll be traveling to South America a bit more for work and would love to meet folks and make friends.

Id say my music tastes hover around indie and classic hard rock/heavy metal. From Deep Purple to Strfkr to Tycho to Iron Maiden. Lately, I've been really into the Grateful Dead and even saw them on their farewell tour this summer.

Started a nonprofit my freshman year in college (Traveling Spirits) with several high school friends and a former teacher. The mission was to use travel as a way to instil leadership values in youth. Led a two week trip to Guatemala through this group and the group led additional trips to Thailand and Belize later on. I eventually stepped down and am now on the advisory board of a similar group based in the Bay Area called Global Glimpse, where I led a 3 week trip to Nicaragua.
