ABOUT ME

I don't know what I am... Describing myself in a little white box...
Actions are louder than words... so... I grew up in the American South, worked in various media fields and as a bartender... then I was offered a job to teach English in Ukraine... and 8 days later I was living in Kyiv where I stayed for 8 months and then moved to Odessa, where I am now. I definitely don't consider myself much of a planner. I prefer to roll with it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Up to this point, I have not had the opportunity to actively participate; however, in my last job as a bartender in New Orleans, I had CS hosts always bringing their surfers to sit at my bar where I could point them in something like a right direction. Here in Odessa, I've done similar, but usually meeting new faces in my favorite bar...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Like I said, CS hosts bringing surfers to my bar. I would always help them find other bars and other things to do in the city. There is a lot of empty space in this box...

A year ago was the first time I was able to actually couchsurf. It was an awesome experience.

兴趣

I'm a teacher. I have a background in Film, Radio, and TV. And was a career bartender for a couple of years. I love photography. I love being in bars and nightclubs (prefer a seedy bar to a posh nightclub). Also just love to sit in a cafe and people watch.

music- anything from opera to metal, from dubstep to country... but usually centering on Blues-y Rock (aka-The Rolling Stones to The Black Keys)
movies- The Big Lebowski, Snatch, Rebel Without A Cause, A Streetcar Named Desire (with Marlon Brando and Vivian Leigh), Sordid Lives, Johnny Depp's entire filmography....
Books... I'm not much of the reading type...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I was working backstage at a Music Festival in New Orleans where Etta James was playing... Her music sounds great recorded, but there will never be anything like her live!

I've done a lot in my life... I've seen a lot, but haven't had much opportunity to travel... Hopefully that changes soon...

I'm an English Teacher... so there's the most obvious thing I can share. I seem to know a little bit about a lot of stuff... And sometimes, it can be very random and (virtually) useless information...
And I know my way around behind the bar...
