About Me

Hey!

I am a student who lived in Phoenix AZ, but has finally returned home to where I was born and raised in Victoria BC. I'm thrilled about it! When not working toward my academic goals I try to stay active with sports, music, friends, and family.. the usual stuff.

I would consider myself a fun and thoughtful host/ guest. I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories. Getting to know individuals from all walks of life has added so much to my own existence, and makes for fun times/ experiences along the way! That said- I also value the importance of solitude, privacy, and peace- which I also can appreciate some hosts/ guests prefer. It is all good with me.

I pride myself on remaining open-minded, adventurous, and receptive to all opportunities presented to me in life. There is so much to gain from every adventure, and I try to make all I can from each and every one- life is too short for anything else!

Good conversation, awesome swimming holes/ beaches, and nature exploring all make me very happy, as do sharing experiences with great people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In short: To expand my horizons through community, adventure, great people, and new experiences.

The long version: My idea of a perfect vacation is hopping on my motorcycle and exploring. It is one of my favourite things, and something I look forward to doing each summer when I get home on my break. I love planning out my trip carefully, and then going with any and every adventure that presents itself along the way between my scheduled stops. I usually stay with friends on my tour, but every once in a while there is a city where I don't know anyone- and that's why couchsurfing is so great!

Getting the opportunity to meet new people, learn about them, and possibly even catch an adventure or two is a fantastic thing.

*I VERY much want to begin hosting (and intend to), but have limited ability at the moment, as I am bouncing back and forth across the US/ Canada border with my schooling. Soon with any luck though- is important to provide a space if you're using one.

Music, Movies, and Books

Psyc-related (the man who mistook his wife for a hat - Oliver Sacks)

Teach, Learn, Share

People I newly meet often ask if I'm "analyzing" them once they learn what I do. I assure I am not. That said, I always enjoy conversations about the human nature, as well as the brain, aging, life, and death. I know that sounds morbid, but it is such an integral part of our living, that I I enjoy understanding it as best as is possible- and I often find I learn so much from those I talk to.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I consider my self as a thoughtful and adaptable host/ guest. I am low maintenance and happy to enjoy a peaceful/ quiet time, or find a spontaneous adventure.

I always try to leave places better than I find them, help with house chores, and make sure my hosts know how much I appreciate their time, presence, and space!

Motorcycle trips/ tours/ adventures (so long as we can come up with an extra helmet) are always there for the taking!
