ABOUT ME
Good mooooooooooooorning couchsurfing,
it´s 11 AM and the nightowl awakes. Very slow, that for sure. He doesn´t like getting up early. First the left eye, then the right one and after a glas of water and a grapefruit he is able to start the day. You are allowed to speak to him, but give him some minutes to boot his brain. He has no SSD, because he has an older year of construction.
But every minute he´s becoming more and more awake. His heartbeat becomes stronger and the eyes, first only strokes, are shining bright as the sun.
Now his day starts and you see a really talkactive person. But don´t be his cryptonite, and remember him on the lost semifinals the last years in soccer. It´s better to talk about the matches against England and Argentina 2010 in South Africa (Update 2014, oh my god 7:1 against Brazil - I can´t believe that). Or tell him stories about the Olympics, play chess, badminton and tabletennis.
Then in the evening he is always up for a beer in a bar, watching a good movie or a soccer match. You can also sit the whole night in the kitchen and talk about the better trilogy, good books and the number 42.
For sure, I love sleeping, but it´s not a big problem getting up early during my travels or if it´s necessary. So don´t be afraid.
PHILOSOPHY
Rule #32 - Enjoy the little things
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfing, hosting, and rarely gatherings in my hometown. I organized some in Victoria as well and I went to a couple in Toronto, Quebec and Vancouver.
I really do love hosting but what I expect from surfers - read my profile, you should have a complete one, as well and write a personal request (mention sth. from my profile). I will not host you if it looks like copy and paste. And if you have no idea how to write a good request or an interesting profile, use google.

Pulp Fiction, The Shawshank Redemtion, Inception, Casino, Godfellas, Snatch, Blood Diamond, Pirates of the Caribbean 1, Zombieland, LotR, Kill Bill, Sin City, Any given Sunday, Matrix 1, Starship Troopers, City of God, The Usual Suspects, Casablanca, Crouching Tiger hidden Dragon, Memento, Machete, From Dusk till Dawn, Dead Poets Society, Jarhead, Platoon, Million ways to die in the west, Lost in translation ...
Firefly, Big Bang Theory, Futurama, Simpsons, South Park, True blood (First Season), Band of brothers, Dark Angel (First Season), How I met your mother, Friends, Game of thrones, Drawn together, Family guy, The Wonder Years, Spongebob...
I really enjoy music between rock, punk and metal. Doesn´t matter either german, english or music in other languages. And I also like traditional newfie and irish folk music.
Metallica, Rage against the machine, Wizo, Slime, Less than jake, Green Day, The Busters, Korn, AC/DC, Blink 182 (but not live, that was terrible), Fettes Brot, Die Ärzte, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns N´Roses (Best album ever - Appetite ...), Sublime, Flogging Mollys, Dropkick Murphys, Ska-P, Assasinators, Gogol Bordello, Die Toten Hosen, Body Count, CIA, NOFX...
I´m pretty big into fantasy and now I´m trying to discover some cyberpunk-stuff. But it´s not so easy to find the good books. Here are some books I have in my book shelf.
The song of Ice and Fire aka Game of thrones (George R.R. Martin), Thraxas (Martin Scott), Empire Trilogy (Raymond Feist, Janny Wurts), Lord of the rings (J.R.R. Tolkien), Dune (Frank Herbert), Kushiels Legacy (Jaqueline Carey), The Saxon-Chronicles and the Sharpe-Chronicles (Bernard Cornwell), Ready player one (Ernest Cline), The Towers of February: A Diary by an Anonymous (Tonke Dragt), Hitchhikers guide of the galaxy (Douglas Adams), Dork Tower (John Kovalic), Asterix (Uderzo, Goscinny), The walking dead (Robert Kirkman), Persepolis (Marjane Satrapi), Donald Duck & Mickey Mouse (Disney), Hack/Slash (Tim Seeley), Akira (Katsuhiro Otomo), Saga (Brian K. Vaughan)...
Algo increíble que he hecho
Hitchhiking in the Maritimes (Eastern Canada), Camel-Tour in the desert Sahara, Work and Travel, Reading "The Lord of the Rings"
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I´m able to play Diablo II just with the mousepad, but I don´t know, if this is very spectacular. I´m also very good in playing foosball and pool, especially when we are playing for a beer- or two ;-) And I can teach you a lot about soccer, especially the history of the soccer world cup since 1930.
And if you wanna learn some necessary german words, I will help you. (f. e. You have a bird :-D )
Ah btw, I know "the answer to the ultimate question of life the universe and everything" but fortunately I forgot the damn question. Because I don´t want that the universe "will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable."
I wanna learn what kind of food is traditional in the countries/cities I´m surfing, and I surely wanna eat that stuff. Maybe you can show me good movies or fantasybooks as well and help me with my English.
But don´t think that you are polite if you hesitate to correct me. That sucks!
Or you can teach me sign language, That´s pretty interesting, too.
