My name is Eric, and I'm from a small town outside of Los Angeles, California, and have been living in LA for the past 4 years to get my degree in Mechanical Engineering. I just graduated from college and I will be settling down on a full-time job soon.

Traveling and meeting new people is one of the most exciting parts of my life. Getting to know an area through someone who has lived there makes the experience of traveling even better. I hope that Couchsurfing will open up more of these opportunities and that I will be able to meet others with whom I will be able to share my culture, ideas, and experiences.

I am currently not in a position to host due to my living situation of moving between two houses for work and family. However, once I have a more established home, I hope to open it to host travelers .

Recently I've been listening to a variety of hip-hop and electronic music, but I listen to a wide range of music including rock, alternative, and classical. I love going to concerts, and some of my recent favorites have been for the Flatbush Zombies, Autograf, Ratatat, and The Black Keys.

My favorite movie is The Departed.

Some memorable books I've read include Prey by Michael Crichton, and Blink by Malcolm Gladwell.
