ABOUT ME

I'm all about being active, and love many sports, including basketball, volleyball, and tennis. My main passion is music. I play violin, guitar, mandolin, and the occasional drumset. I was in a rock band in the past and have played in various orchestras and jazz groups throughout my life. I also love going to concerts. Live music just gets me in such a great mood. I'm a pretty laid back guy and love to meet new people, discover new cultures, and try new foods!

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone's always in a rush to do something, but then end up being in a rush to do something else. Just take a step back and enjoy where you are, with who you are.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have mainly done the surfing, as the past couple years my living situation hasn't been conducive to hosting. However, once I move to Chicago things will change!

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy any music (reggae, rock, bluegrass, jazz, blues...) but I love jam bands, especially Phish. Some of my favorite movies include The Big Lebowski, Ocean's 11, Blue Streak, Django Unchained, Inglorious Basterds, and

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ran with the bulls at the San Fermin festival in Pamplona, Spain. I literally was inches away from possible death. That'll get your heart racing for sure!

Teach, Learn, Share

From one of my best traveling mates, Ziggi, "You'll never get another chance to chase your dreams around the world." I believe traveling really opens people's opinions, attitudes, and minds. I've learned more by going out into the world than anything I learned in a classroom.
