About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I wish to travel through south and central america and Mexico to learn of and experience different cultures, people and customs.
ABOUT ME
I love to travel and meet and understand people all over the world. I enjoy hiking, bicycling, boogie-boarding, studying pre-colombian latin america, museums, local culture. I enjoy running, basketball and tennis.
English is my native language and I am about 80% fluent in spanish as I lived in Honduras as a teenager, and in Mexico 3 different times in 3 different cities as an adult. Vegan.
TO MY PLACE ON PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
From: greyhound station downtown l.a. (dtla):
IMPORTANT NOTE: if departing union station or greyhound station downtown l.a. if you leave after 8pm you probably won't be able to get to my apartment.
exit and walk ACROSS 7th street, take any bus that stops down to ‘7th street metro station’. From there take the silver line south to ‘harbor freeway transit center’, transfer there to the ‘metro bus #130-REDONDO BEACH on head sign. Exit at ‘rindge ave.’
From: LAX: exit terminal and go to middle traffic island and look for van that says “lot c”. take it to where it ends at loc c. walk about 80 meters and go to bus bay 3, take ‘torrance #8 approx. 25 mins to ‘artesia/rindge’.'
-From: santa monica: at 4th /broadway-on west side of street (which is 2 blocks from '3rd st. promenade), take the 'big blue bus, #3 until it ends at 'LAX transit station'. then transfer to 'torrance #8'. get off at 'rindge/artesia' in approx. 25 mins.
TO GET TO HOLLYWOOD, SANTA MONICA, DOWNTOWN FROM MY PLACE TAKES 2 HOURS BY BUS/TRAIN.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION DIRECTIONS FROM MY APARTMENT TO:
-Hollywood: take metro #130 east at rindge/artesia, ‘harbor gateway transit station’, switch to
‘silver line’ at bus bay 6, take to 7th street metro staion; go down into metro station to bottom level and take the ‘red line-north Hollywood station’, exit at vine/gower/highland
Note re Hollywood: if you are coming back to Redondo beach after about 9.30pm, you will instead want to walk down to ‘hollywood/vine’, take the metro bus #210, it picks up ON hollyood at that intersection, take it until it ends at ‘south bay galleria’ in Redondo beach, which is basically at ‘artesia/hawthorne. At that point WALK west approx.. 1 mile to my place.
-Long Beach: take metro 130 east at artesia/rindge, to ‘artesia station’, there get on the
‘blue line’ heading toward long beach. For greyhound station exit at ‘pacific coast highway/pch’ and walk 3 blocks south to greyhound station. To go to main long beach areas stay on blue line until the last stop.
PHILOSOPHY
I want to live my life without borders and meet people from as many countries and cultures as I can to understand as much as I can about those in other lands.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host visiting couchsurfers by giving a bed/couch and offering to take couchsurfers visiting the los angeles area around to see L.A.- from the locals view; especially the beach areas from santa monica/venice down to Palos Verdes, as well as jaunts into downtown l.a./chinatown/garment district (shopping) and museums.
when I can host a couch/bed in my small apartment I want to host people who wish to stay near the beach; I have 1 surfboard and 3 boogie boards and I go either bicycle riding or running almost every day on the beach. Am happy to take visitors any part of L.A. they wish to see.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
