Overview
About Me
This profile is really for both my husband and me.
ABOUT US
I was born and raised in Southern California and moved to San Diego for University. I stayed in San Diego working as an Electrical Engineer until January 2016, when we decided to sell our possessions and travel for a year.
My husband, Juan, is Colombian--was born in New York, raised 7 years in Spain, returned to New York, lived in Japan for 2 years and then moved to San Diego. He owned a dance company where he taught people how to salsa dance.
We met in San Diego, thanks to salsa dancing and have been married since 2010. We love teaching people how to dance.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We thought it would be a fun way to meet local people and get an authentic experience in the places we visit.
Interests
Travel--
We love to experience local musicians, dancers, artists, food and must-see sites. We also plan to visit the salsa clubs in every city we visit.
Salsa Dancing--
We are both salsa dance teachers. We are passionate about sharing the art of salsa dancing with others.
Music--
We love to share our music and hear new music from people we meet around the world.
Good Food--
We are somewhat adventurous eaters.
Beer (Juan)--
San Diego became "the Craft Beer Capital of America." Juan now appreciates beer tasting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Quit our jobs, sell our things, sell our car, and jump on a plane with a one-way ticket out of our home country and a goal to travel the world.

What we want to learn--
