Overview
About Me
After becoming totally disillusioned with the American education system, I took a gap year and moved across the country to be a tall ship sailor. Now that the sailing season is over, I'm traveling around the world, trying to learn as much as possible!
I'm generally quiet, generally queer, and very adaptable. I will insist on helping out, and am super excited to meet new people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's the perfect way to really get to know the area I'm visiting. A lot of the tourism industry is so far removed from the actual culture of the place. Also, I don't have a whole lot of money to travel on, so I'd like to minimize my costs.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: A little bit of everything! In general, I usually go for folk and rock. I love doing music trades!
Books: Hitchhiker's guide, Soulless, Six of Crows. Generally fantasy without an excessive amount of romance
Movies: Studio Ghibli! Pacific Rim, MCU, most animated movies
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think sailing is pretty incredible. The days are long and the work is hard, but there's nothing quite like going aloft in the rigging to stargaze.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll share nearly everything I have- clothes, books, art supplies.
I'm in the process of learning tarot- I'll do a reading for you if you want. I can also draw, knit, sew, and occasionally sing, and I'm happy to teach anyone who wants it!
Finally, I'm open to learning any new skills at all!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook a pretty decent meal- I worked as an assistant cook in the galley, and I'd love to share my skills. (I can also wash dishes!)
I have some pretty funny stories from sailing, and I love making friends.
Countries I’ve Visited
England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Spain
