Overview
About Me
I’m a junior at Wellesley College outside of Boston. I’m an Environmental Studies major and Middle eastern studies minor and I concentrate on bees, largely honeybees and beekeeping. I speak French strongly and I’m slowly working on Modern Standard Arabic- I have had a month introduction into Darija when I spent my winter break in Morocco 🇲🇦 . I’ve spent my life devoted to human connection, community building and civic engagement and I’m excited to see how it manifests in the future. I am young, so I’m new to couch surfing but my mother has used it and has loved the experience. I’m excited to begin! You are always welcome in Boston. Although I live about 30 minutes outside the city, I’m a one mile walk from public transportation, and I have a car to give you a ride. I can host maximum 3 nights per college policy, and to be honest, I’m hesitant around cisgendered men due to some childhood experiences. I seek to support underprivileged communities, and my queer identity is integral to my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was raised in Nebraska, but I went to an arts boarding school outside of Boston for all of high school, where I studied classical singing intensively. Although I am lucky to have so many new experiences and friendships, I value my roots and care about seeing my close friends who now study in NY, even if I can’t afford an Airbnb or hostel.

Music, Movies, and Books
Brandi Carlile, Tegan and Sara, Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, Dolly Parton, Elton John, Alanis Morissette, the Cranberries and the Indigo Girls are my best friends. I don’t get around to watching many movies (poor attention span), and I am always always listening to audiobooks, the more I listen the more I grow!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can’t say just one!!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach about bees, environmental issues, R (programming language), left-handed knitting, and cooking. I’m down to learn about absolutely anything. As a college student I don’t have many possessions, but I can cook you a meal. I’ll get the ingredients and clean up if I can use your kitchen.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation, book recommendations on environmental topics, I can answer any question you may have about bees, and I’m a mean vegan cook.
