About Me
Hello, I am an anesthesiologist assistant student currently traveling to a new city to work at a new hospital each month for the next year. Before starting graduate school I volunteered in hostels at first with the thought of traveling cheaply but then realized hostels and Couch Surfing is the way to go not only for the financial value but especially the value of the people you meet and the experiences you get to share. I got to know the magic of couchsurfing when my roommate suggested we offer up a spot in our French Quarter apartment in New Orleans. I loved getting to know people from all around, sharing stories and days exploring the city and hope to experience some of that again this year.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I will only be in each city for one month and figure staying with a local is the best way to get to know the cities. It is common to interview at each hospital you rotate through so I want to really get a sense of the city before I sign on to work somewhere.
Couch surfers tend to have similar free spirited, welcoming mind sets and I’m hoping to continue meeting people like that. I much prefer staying with someone and hopefully making a new friend over staying in a cold hotel room.
