Informazioni generali
Chi sono
Hi, I'm Erica! I'm a Korean-American born and raised in New Jersey, USA. I love learning and experiencing new things, and prefer deep, meaningful conversations over small talk. Some more facts about me:
- I have a dry sense of humor, but I also have a big smile and love to laugh 😊
- I am a massive foodie. One of the main reasons I go to new places—other than meeting cool new people—is to eat. I'm not picky and will often choose the weirdest thing on the menu.
- I studied computer science and software engineering in university.
- My favorite hobbies include dancing, watercolor painting, and hiking.
- I love animals, especially dogs! I enjoy talking to dogs like they're people.
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
I’m here because I love meeting new people, learning more about their lives, and sharing some stories and experiences of my own.
I only recently started Couchsurfing and I’m amazed at the generosity, hospitality, and warmth of people in this community.
Unfortunately I’m only able to surf at the moment, but I’m excited to give back by hosting people from around the world once I finish moving to San Francisco :)

Musica, film e libri
Music:
- I can talk for hours and hours about house, techno, and other kinds of electronic music. Some artists I've been into lately are Bonobo, Bicep, Djrum, Nicola Cruz, Nicolas Jaar, Objekt, Randomer, and Rrose.
- I listen to lots of other genres too, especially trip hop, downtempo, RnB, and soul. Other artists I enjoy are Massive Attack, Darkside, Rejjie Snow, Flamingosis, Anderson .Paak, and Tom Misch.
Movies:
- I don't watch enough movies (especially classics) but some of my favorites are Blade Runner, Her, Inception, and Baby Driver.
Books:
- Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino
- What Is Not Yours Is Not Yours by Helen Oyeyemi
- The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera
- A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara
- Haruki Murakami, Jhumpa Lahiri, Teju Cole, Kurt Vonnegut...the list goes on. I also read a lot of science fiction and fantasy (think Dune, Hyperion, The Name of the Wind, The Way of Kings).
