Overview
About Me
I am a bike-riding, German-speaking, cat- and microscope-loving, list-obsessed Materials Engineering PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh. I am constantly seeking self-improvement, I enjoy meeting interesting people, and I usually better at listening than talking. I'm not into the typical party scene, and I prefer a quiet night at home with a cup of tea and a book to a long, loud night at a bar.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a grad student, and we don't get paid a lot. I love to travel and expand my perspectives, but accommodations are pricey. With the help of Couchsurfing, I would really like to see more of this world, meet more of its people, and avoid crying every time I look at my wallet.
Interests
My interests are very diverse. Though I am an engineer, the artsy side of my brain longs to have a voice. It gets its outlet mostly through my photography. I'm obsessed with self-improvement, so my list extends to things like Toastmasters. I like to be active as well, which adds activities like biking and hiking.
