About Me
CURRENT MISSION
learning how to live local and teach others...
ABOUT ME
I love to cook, but I am notoriously bad at cracking eggs. I get a little ridiculous when I drink too much gin. I obsess about good quality local fabulous food. I'm told I do pretty good impressions of people, but really bad sound effects. I drink alot of tea. I'm really good at parallel parking. I like going up things but not down (skiing excepted). I have a tendency to fall into a British accent for no apparent reason - I'm trying to stop I swear. I really like the idea of wearing heels but I find it rarely works out for me. I love making and sending letters. It is my dream to one day be in a public place where everyone gradually overcomes shyness and breaks out in simultaneous song and/or dance. I am addicted to traveling and am ready to go somewhere at all times. I am never, ever, bored.
PHILOSOPHY
BE where you are but dream about where you'll go, and then go.
You can do anything you want. Really.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently I work at one of the most sustainable livestock operations in the world...Polyface Farm in Swoope, Virginia. Maybe you've heard of it? So for the time being I can't host anyone but you are welcome to visit the farm and hang out, learn how to gut a chicken/move cows/feed pigs/breed rabbits/grill meat/celebrate life farm-style, etc.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfed with an awesome guy called Antonio in Rome...hung out with him and his best friend and had an excellent evening.
Interests
Agriculture, traveling, red wine, languages (and people who can help me with them), ultimate frisbee, salsa (or any) dancing, sustainable agriculture and local food, fiction novels, running, hiking, cooking/eating good meals with friends, playing in the sun, being silly and passionate.
