Overview
About Me
I live in Gibsons which is a seaside community near Vancouver, British Columbia. Gibsons is a 40 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay. It is a busy tourist destination in the summer and was the location of the TV series The Beachcombers for many years.
I enjoy the outdoors, gardening, hiking, and especially travelling. I am trying to learn Spanish so that I can spend more time in Latin American countries.
PHILOSOPHY
live simply so others may simply live
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I travel, I try to do a little couchsurfing in each country and in the summer months, I welcome couchsurfers to my home on the coast of British Columbia.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My hosts have shown me amazing places that I would never have found without their help and my guests have such an enthusiam for my community that I appreciate my own location even more because of them.
Interests
gardening, kayaking, sustainability, local foods. I am currently taking piano lessons to learn how to play the Blues. I am conscious of my ecological carbon footprint and grow a lot of my own food and support local farmers on the Sunshine Coast.
