I'm originally from the USA, but I've been living in Australia for the past 5 years. I'm a masters student at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane studying ecology. I'm also a yoga teacher and prefer to travel by bicycle whenever possible. Basically if it involves plants, hiking, bicycles, yoga, good food, and/or maybe a couple good beers, I'm into it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always enjoyed the experience of staying with someone local when traveling much more than finding a hostel on my own. Especially when traveling alone, it allows more opportunities for connecting with people that I might otherwise never meet. It also undeniably helps to allow for funding to go towards more experience and less accomodation, which is essential as a student.
