Hello! I'm a 26 year old from the United States, spending a year in New Zealand. I was born and raised in Nebraska but have lived in Chicago the last seven years going to university and working in the city. Colorado is my pseudo-home and I love exploring the mountains: trekking, skiing, trail running, camping, etc. I'm an avid cyclist and runner. I've most recently gotten really into marathon running but I broke my foot in January and have been slow to get back into longer distances.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I couchsurfed my way through Europe and a bit in South America and had the best time with some amazing hosts. I was so humbled by the generosity and kindness showed to me by my hosts that I had to pay it forward in the Chicago. I've hosted people all of the world and I'm so happy to be part of such an inspiring community of adventure-seekers. There's no better way to understand a new culture than to see it first hand through couch surfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm so lucky to have had all of the travel experiences I've had. It's hard to pick one but couchsurfing with a bunch of strange Colombian men in London was surprisingly rewarding and is one of my best memories/anecdotes.
