About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Do what you want cos a pirate is free
ABOUT ME
My best friend would describe me as an outgoing, fun loving, free spirited girl who's also very indecisive. Which I can't exactly disagree.
I think I'm socially awkward too, although everyone disagrees and think I'm really friendly. So I must be quite friendly I guess.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is to just to do what you want cos a pirate is free!
see link for a better experience: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Th6PW5VwDFI
Of course, within the boundaries of what's acceptable in society. Because I still want to fit in, somewhere.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been to a couple of couchsurfing events in Singapore and had loads of fun.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have not had any couchsurfing experience yet... but am looking forward to my first of hopefully many experiences to come!
Interests
How I spend my time?
Daydreaming really, that's I ever do. I also dance alot, in my room.
I do however, surprisingly still have some kind of a social life.
I love reading (but I can't say I'm reading as much as I'd like to), visiting museums & art galleries, watching musicals, ballet, plays, etc.
I also love football. My favourite teams are AC Milan & Argentina. (I'm sorry but I can't be friends with any Liverpool fans.)
I hate saying that I love to dance because of the assumptions that comes after that statement but truth is, I do. I do Ballet and Latin dance (cha cha, samba, jive, rhumba).
I do kinda love to sing, but I give my best performances in the shower.
I love traveling and getting to learn about other cultures and their history. I won't say I love meeting new people ONLY because I'm quite socially awkward and I suck at making small talk. All I ever manage to come up with is to complain about the weather. But I DO love meeting really nice and interesting people and just listening to their stories.
I also started diving recently and LOVE IT! I MIGHT still be prone to panic attacks though.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: La Haine, Before Sunset, Eastern Promises, The Notebook, Chicago, Leon : The Professional, The Machinist, etc. I do enjoy films of all genres to various extents except horror.
Music: I wouldn't say I'm into a particular genre. I just listen to music that best fits my mood, although I don't ever know any song titles.
Books: The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera, The Elephant Vanishes by Haruki Murakami, The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy, etc. I do enjoy feel good books from time to time but I somehow seem to enjoy books with a tinge of darkness. I should probably find the answer to this in Sigmund Freud's books, which reminds me that I should really be looking for my missing "Civilization & Its Discontent".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing scenery in Lake Bled, Slovenia.
People watching & roaming around the streets of Dubrovnik, Croatia at night (during summer).
Watching people dance (socially) in Diocletian Palace in Split, Croatia.
Being on a hot air balloon through Cappadocia, Turkey. It was literally like a dream coming true 6 years after waking up randomly back when I was 17 with this sudden urge to be on a hot air balloon.
Diving in Tulamben, Bali, the moment when I suddenly stopped panicking, and was just awestruck by the beauty of underwater life. Was captivated by this whole lot of yellow and white Butterfly Fishes moving randomly like an animated wallpaper!
Teach, Learn, Share
I probably can't really teach, but I can try to teach whatever I happen to know, if anyone's interested. I'd like to learn various languages and culture.
