Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
find joy in the small things and live for the big things. I love to travel with my girlfriend and hope to start doing that much more.
ABOUT ME
Very upbeat and look forward to learning new things. Worldly from a life of travel and fond of finding cultural differences along with the root of the cultural norms. Practical, but love to stop and have a good time in unexpected places. Jeans and a t-shirt type of guy.
PHILOSOPHY
I want to have fun, travel, help people, and love my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can't host right now, because I live in a military barracks, but want to get back to surfing again.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
mostly impromptu stays at homes of people that I meet along the way during my biking and other trips. Otherwise, I have friends over for visits and visa verse, but I am branching out to meet NEW fun people! Great experiences in Blue Ridge Mountains; Durham, NC; and Rotterdam, NL; and Germany.

Music, Movies, and Books
movies: prefer thrillers and comedies, sometimes even combined (watch "True Lies", you'll know what I mean).
I like upbeat music. some electro, a bit of pop and punk, plus upbeat oldies (70s and 80s), but at times I lend the room to Beethoven and his contemporaries. Recently started listening to more pop country.
not a fan of fiction novels, but if it's real, it is probably worth my time. In terms of military literature, I prefer works on tactics, counterinsurgency and intercultural operations.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am in the process of biking from Oslo to Gibraltar in stages of 500 to 1000km at a time with one of my two younger brothers. Meeting new people along the way and quality bro-time makes it one of the best experiences I'm still having! www.facebook.com/oslotogibraltar for more details and pictures ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
My job in the Marine Corps is to do all three of those IOT look after my fellow Marines and accomplish the mission. It's the toughest and most rewarding thing I've ever done.
