Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC

Traded classical orchestra for rock band at 16, when I discovered girls were more interested in guitarists than bassoon players. Early influences Blues Brothers, AC/DC and Peter Frampton before becoming a professional musician myself. Enjoy movie scores, John Williams is a genius.

MOVIES

Back To The Future, Indiana Jones, Blues Brothers, Rear Window, Sneakers, anything with a spaceship.

BOOKS

Grew up with Astrid Lindgren (Karlsson-on-the-roof, Pippi Longstocking) and Michael Ende (Momo, Jim Button). Rediscovered reading years later, following the adventures of wizards (Harry Potter) and watch makers (Hermux Tantamoq), one of my favourites being The Pasta Detectives, the adventures of a slightly retarded boy and his High IQ wunderkind friend, hilarious.
I wrote a novel (fantasy/fiction) and several shorts myself, still have to finish a crime story, based in New York. I love audio plays (not audio books), an art form mainly popular in Germany, movies for your ears.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

playing to 15.000 russian rock fans
arriving in Santiago de Compostela after walking 750 km through Spain
cycling 2000 km through Vietnam
landing a guest role in Germany's most popular audio play series
living in New York
spending New year's eve on a quiet island with my best friend
writing a novel
living in Sicily (Italy)
living in a camping van
crossing the ocean for a woman
