Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a few people people and have surfed couches in Copenhagen, Stockholm Munich and Costa Rica and had great experiences at each of them with great people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far have hosted a few people (Beto from Mexico, Joe from Australia, Casey from Ireland, Kelvin from London, Jono from Wales), and they were all great experiences showing them around. We still stay in touch. Stayed with Emil in Copenhagen and met other surfers he was hosting. Then with Christian in Stockholm who was a great host and even met some of his friends and we met some of my friends in town for dinner too. Then in Munich Gary showed me around and took me to a festival, then ended up hosting me one night too when the hostel I was staying at filled up and had no beds on my last night there!!

Interests

I love sports and, of course, traveling. I play softball, swim, and love cycling too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Don't read too much other than lots of internet news and posts, but I like biographies and investing books. Kind of boring but allow me to lead the life I do. I like 80's alt rock music and like to go to concerts. I like action movies, and comedies as well as horror movies that make you jump and ultimately give you nightmares or make you sleep with the lights on!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are many, but the highlights are: hang gliding in Rio de Janeiro, helicopter ride in Kauai, Hawaii, and scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. All big WOW moments.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about finance and how to save money on lots of things, especially traveling (not including couch surfing!!) And I do know quite a bit about the ins and outs of traveling as well. And it's great to share knowledge of places I've been to and learn of travels of others too.
