ABOUT ME

I teach high school chemistry and earth science at Harrisonburg High School in Virginia. I love being in VA with the mountains and beautiful farms. When I’m not at school, I’m at home in my garden growing veggies or hiking on trails near my house. I also teach yoga at a studio in Harrisonburg.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first Couchsurfing led me to hike with a host in Switzerland. I later Couchsurfed a bit in Chilé and Argentina. I am excited to expand my experiences with the kind people I meet through Couchsurfing. What an amazing platform to connect!

I love to read, watch documentaries, and converse about meaningful topics. I especially like books that discuss the mind, consciousness, and science.

For the first couple months of 2011, I lived in Peru, working alongside rural Peruvians to improve standards of living. My life really began to change at this point. Since then I have been on a path where I strive to be critical of my actions and how I affect others and Planet Earth.
