About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make our world more connected.
ABOUT ME
I am a recent college graduate working at an opera company. I'm interested in a lot of things and love meeting new people. My friends would say that I am extremely driven, adventurous, intelligent, and caring.
PHILOSOPHY
Here are a collection of quotes I really like and try to live by.
"I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul." - William Ernest Henley
"The biggest problem in the world is indifference." - Elie Wiesel
"Apply yourself, get all the education you can but then, by God, do something, don't just stand there; make it happen." - Lee Iacocca
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just moved into a new apartment near the center of Minneapolis and I'm looking to host travelers from around the world. I have surfed quick extensively and now would like to return the favor to my fellow travelers. I think Couch Surfing is cultural exchange at its finest. It's totally something I love doing and something I want to continue to be involved in.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I actually have done a good amount of couch surfing. I have couchsurfed through this website for a couple of weeks in New Delhi, and have met up with locals in Norway. I recently couchsurfed with a couple hosts in Boston.
Otherwise, off the books, I stayed with my cousin's Chinese girlfriend's family in Shenyang for a summer, stayed with old dental school friends of my father in both Curacao and in Germany, stayed with a host family in Mexico City, and stayed with a host family in the Czech Republic. These are right at the top of my travel experiences and I would like nothing better than to connect with more international travelers.
Interests
I love to learn and experience new things. I spend most of my time practicing, working, and spending time with friends. My interests are wide ranging. I especially like anything relating the arts and humanities. I'm opening to anything, though, I love to gain appreciation for new things by meeting people who are passionate about something wildly different than I am.

Music, Movies, and Books
There are too many.
I like all types of music. To name a few in particular: the Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Coldplay, Radiohead, late romantic/early 20th century impressionists, opera, etc.
As for books, some in particular I have gotten a lot out of are Beloved by Toni Morrison, Catcher in the Rye, and 1984.
I enjoy film. I like blockbusters for the spectacle, a nicely put together documentary, art film, and vintage film.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Staying with a host family in the Czech Republic with no common language, where I learned connections are far deeper than words.
Seeing the breath-taking and stunning Baroque architecture of the Abbey in Melk, Austria.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to do all three.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Music, stories, and laughter.
