About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have a significant impact in useless matters

ABOUT ME

This has been said about me:
"He grew up in the middle of the forest, spent a lot of time by himself and with the trees.
He slowly started to adapt to what we call a normal life, and eventually he burst out in the world playing music on his button accordion. He is now a quite interesting fellow who's making a living as a traveling musician, and likes to have a sarcastic and silly conversation sometimes."

PHILOSOPHY

Oh, well let's talk about it when we meet instead.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done quite a bunch of couchsurfing, although most of it has been done outside of this community. I would not be able to live the life that I am living if it wasn't for all the wonderful people that have hosted me in all the places I've been. My life as a traveling musician started through this couchsurfing website.

Interests

Contrasts.

I like music, silence, biking, doing nothing, eating, drinking, traveling, living, talking, communicating without words. Amongst other things.

On the accordion I mostly play music from the balkan region these days. Mostly traditional Romanian, Hungarian, Serbian, Macedonian and some Bulgarian music has been on my repertoire lately. I am two bands playing this kind of music, Csángálló and Taraf de Akácfa.
I play some Swedish stuff as well, as well as my very own songs. That's fun.

I also like climbing trees, biking in unconventional places, wood-chopping, biscuits.

Of course I like to have a good drink in a good company whenever that feels right. (Tends to be quite often)

Music, Movies, and Books

In movies, I like stuff that's not obvious, that surprises you. I rarely remember film titles. And I rarely watch any movies these days, and TV almost never. I'd love to receive some good advice about movies though.

Ooh, music. Well.
A lot of gipsy folk music and Balkan music these days!

But also a bunch of jazz, funk, blues and ooh so much other great music that I can't put in to any genre.
I guess here's some names.
Taraf de Haidouks, Parno Graszt, Besh O Drom, Slavic Soul Party, Jimi Hendrix, Ibrahim Electric, Itzhak Perlman, James Brown, Eric Burdon, Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings, Amsterdam Klezmer Band, Staff Benda Bilili, Blur, Gorillaz, The New Mastersounds, Jan Johansson, Jazzkamikaze, Penguin Café Orchestra, Nick Drake, Buena Vista Social Club, Bob Marley, Rage Against the Machine, The Specials, Mark Ronson, Väsen, Filarfolket, Galactic, The Higsons and tons of other.

About books then. I have different periods when I like to read and when I don't. Right now, I don't read very much. That's a pity.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can teach you a little accordion, bass guitar, drums or maybe guitar if you wish. That's nice. I'd like to learn anything, nothing or everything!
