ABOUT ME

I would say I am a work in progress. I am always trying to improve myself and become a better person. I am trustworthy, adventurous,easy to get along with, and smart. I grew up in Guatemala in Central America, then when I was 15 moved to California, here I finished high school and went to University. During this time, I realized that I wanted more from life and that I wanted to know how other people live, their societies, cultures, languages... so I studied in England and backpacked for a month.

PHILOSOPHY

Be the change you wish to see in the world.
that we are here in this planet to be the best we can be in whatever path we decided to take.
I believe that by being the best version of ourselves, other people benefit as a byproduct.
I believe that to be able to love you must be able to love yourself, be compassionate to other and learn to forgive.
I believe that we all make mistakes and that no one has the right to judge another, but that also there are consequences to every action.
Ultimately, everyone is trying to find their place in life, and we should help each other achieve our dreams

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met and hosted surfers with my girlfriend, and it's been a great experience. Funny enough we get many French people, which really helps with learning French

Interesses

I like many things, I greatly enjoy nature and the outdoors as well as a good beer or wine with friends. My greatest hobbies are martial arts and drawing, every time I have a piece of paper I end up drawing in it. I have practiced martial arts since i was maybe 12. I have a black belt in Taekwondo, Kenpo and currently training in Wing Chun. I also love to cook, and im pretty good at Italian food. Pizza is my favorite

I love meeting new people and cultures, learning new languages and pretty much anything that will help me become a better person.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Books... I've become a fan of Paulo Coehlo, currently reading the pilgrimage, read most of Michael Chricton's books, The Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged,classics by Jules Verne, Alexander Dumas, I guess I like books about adventure, self discovery, and thrillers. Oh and "A Song of Ice and Fire" by GRRM (a.k.a. A Game of Thrones) ...man he knows how to write.

My friends say I'm a good communicator and good at conflict resolution.. as a martial artist I can share and teach these skills to anyone who is willing to learn, it really takes discipline and practice.
I'm also good with computers... so i can help with that stuff. :)
