Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Just Great <3
Interests
I have allot of interests. Anything that you can show me or talk to me about will probably interested me. I care about animals and care about the planet. I am trying to become a vegetarian, slowly but surely. For me, it is the intention and the result that is important, no matter how difficult it takes you to get something or somewhere, the importance is that you are able to work for it. I am also a mother of a little rabbit name Gustave. He is my baby and live completely free/no cage at all at my place. Most of the people don't realized it, but rabbit are really intelligent. He have his little litter and do all his stuff inside ahah t do this only for the physical reasons. I really think that working out is a good way to free yourself of any mental preoccupation.. it just makes you feel lighter and have a good way to connect your mind and your body together.
If any of you do any kind of Yoga/ Musculation/ Martial Art, it would be a real pleasure to learn from you :) In exchange I could teach you some nice working exercices.
Music, Movies, and Books
SERIES/MOVIES: Orange is the new Black/ Game of Thrones/ Vikings/Sex in the City/Gilmore Girls/ Into the wild (one of my favorite movie)/ Kartel/ Pulp Fiction/
MUSIC: Half Moon RunJean Leloup, John Lennon, Middle Class rut, Modest Mouse, Kendrick Lamar, The Doors, Giant the Elephant, Citizen Cope, Capital Cities, The Weekend, Djs, some old school rap is always making me feel awesome, Hozier, Son Lux, Kygo, Sam Robert Band, Cypress Hill, Chet Faker .... I LOVE VERY DIFFERENT KIND OF MUSIC
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am not sure if those should really be categorized as 'AMAZING' but they where definitely rewarding for me! :) I did an immersion program called Explore before I decided to start my university in English (note that nobody speak english in my family). Than, I lived in Saskatchewan, in Regina, for five weeks to improve my English with 81 other students!
I also travelled in Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Florida & Brazil. In Brazil, I was given the opportunity to be selected with 25 other students in all Canada to do field research for a period of 3weeks mostly living in rural area with peasant workers. I was more precisely studying the MST, which is the movement of landless rural workers, one of the biggest social movement in South America. After I decided to travel by myself a little. I had the opportunity to be host there by a family for 10 days (I didn't get in touch with them by CS, but because of a friend) it was just amazing. I discovered São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Salvador de Bahia.
For my school journey, I did 1 year at Bishop's University in International Business, realized it wasn't for me, then I switched for Concordia University in Montreal, and decided to do my BA in Sociology program. This summer, I will finally be graduated.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can't wait to share any of my experiences with other people and more then willing to speak a little of french 'québécois' for those of you who might be interested :) I know people always find it funny to ear! If you have ever heard about the famous 'Poutine' that we make here in Quebec? I can definitely make one original for you ;)
Learning is an ongoing process, and I really think there is no better way to learn then by sharing & exchanging with other people having different background. I believe in dreams, but more importantly in ACTION. I don't believe in fear, since I think this is a feeling that is mostly created by the people surrounding you that have themselves some kind of fears. Be surrounded by the good people, and you will become the person you belong. <3
Peace & Love is my faith.
Also, know that you are always going to be welcome at our place in Montreal if it is something that interested you!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am willing to share everything I know.. some Canadian culture, more specifically from Montreal/Quebec.. french language, great recipes.. Anything :) I don't expect you to give me all your free time, since I know that you might have your own schedule, but if it is something that interested you, it would be a pleasure to discovered the nice little places around the city that is a must to see. I prefer the non-touristic places that are very special then the one surrounded by tourists... but whatever!
I can share my happiness, for sure, I can make you laugh, I always smile, I can share some talk, but also be a good listener. Love to take pictures!! I am a spontaneous person and I think I am good at making it contagious :P
