À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

to see the world and to be happy

ABOUT ME

I was born in Arequipa, Peru. I lived there until some years ago, when I moved to Lima and there continued to study medicine. Now I moved to NYC and I am doing my residency in pediatrics.

I like medicine, but I know it is just an important part of my life. Important, but just part of it...

Describing myself is not easy. I am laid back and calm guy. I like music, a cold beer and good chat. Sometimes, loud music and party; sometimes, a good book or a movie are all I want for the weekend. Travelling, hiking, and couchsurfing (of course) are other hobbies.

PHILOSOPHY

In english (sorry for the bad translation):

"A man walking across a field encountered a tiger. Turned and fled, with the tiger at his heels. When he reached a precipice, clung to the root of an old vine and was left hanging on the abyss. The tiger sniffed at him from above. Shuddering, the man looked at the bottom of the cliff, where another tiger was waiting avid his fall. Only the vine sustained him. Two mice, one white and one black, came from the bushes and then began to gnaw at the root. Beside him, the man saw a delicious-looking strawberry. Clinging to vine with one hand, could reach the strawberry with the other. It was delicious!"

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

While I was living in Arequipa, I used to host regularly. I was the CS city ambassador there, too. It was really fun. I've met a lot of new, different and amazing people. Some pictures about that here. I have surfed couches also. The first time was during my trip to Colorado Springs and it was amazing (Thanks for that Sarah!!). Long story short, CS is amazing!

Something I really like from CS is that you can meet people that you wouldn´t have met by other means, so I try to learn about all the great people I met.
