Progressive ideologies with high standards and grew up in a traditional home with Judeo-Christian teachings and morals.
Enjoy baking, discussing literature, film, etc. I'm not a heavily political person, but I do have my own political opinions, and am fine with talking about them.
Generally outgoing.
Very much a family man. Love all my nieces and nephews.
Drag performer/queer artist.
I enjoy relaxing on the beach in the summertime and cross-country skiing the back country in the wintertime.
I worked on cruise ships for almost two years. During that time, I was able to taste so many wonderful cultures, but I look forward to delving into cultures around the US and the world.

I believe what I believe and I love learning about what others believe.
What do I believe? I don't know that yet, but I'm figuring it out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the great friends I’ve been able to make on Couchsurfing from all over the world!

With my partner’s schedule, it is very tricky to host as he works nights and has an odd sleep schedule. But we will be as accommodating as we can.

I have only had positive interactions using Couchsurfing. It's a great organization that has given me an opportunity to make new friends and start some amazing dialogue.

Interests

I teach violin and viola to children. I love music of all kinds from Rammstein to Enya.
I am a Jack of all trades and currently work in finance for a credit union.
I can be found in bars and restaurants at night doing karaoke with friends. I generally will drop some Beyoncè or epic 80s dance music.
I studied music education and hotel, resort, and hospitality management at Southern Utah University.
I love writing and editing. I was the arts and entertainment editor for many publications and NGOs.
I love hiking and riding my bicycle. Lots of great trails in the area!

I enjoy social media. You can find me on:

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy reading, especially the Harry Potter series annually the last week of July. If you understand why, we can be friends. If you don't, we can still be friends.
I also enjoy 19th century English lit. I have tried Russian lit, but have found it so depressing that I gave up. I prefer happy endings.
I enjoy most films. Comedies, dramas, thrillers, foreign, independent, and even Anime. I'm not the biggest fan of horror films, but I can tolerate them if I am eating unhealthy comfort food, like macaroni and cheese or orange chicken from Panda Express.
On television, I like comedy. 30 Rock is, hands down, my favorite show. I also enjoy Parks and Recreation, Adventure Time, Game of Thrones, and RuPaul's Drag Race.
I love attending live theatre and enjoy everything from musicals to Shakespeare.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I feel like my life has been made up of pretty great moments and I love all of them and think they're all amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I consider myself to be very easy going and I'll give a hand in whatever way I can, whether it's flipping burgers or hoisting a wall at a barn raising. Or destroying a wall at a barn razing.
I'm very easy to talk to and I enjoy listening and leaning about people. There is something I can learn from you and I can't wait to see what that is.
