About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live life to it's fullest while respecting those around me.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in West Central Illinois on a small farm during my early years and eventually moved into a small town of 150 people around age 5. I spent many of my childhood summers in Southern California which allowed me to see and experience a different perspective of life. I was in the Marine Corps Reserve while I was in college and eventually spent some time on active duty which allowed me to travel the world. I am busy working on the weekdays but otherwise I am glad to show people around town. I'm a little shy at first, but I think i'm a good host/tour guide. Weekends are best but some weekdays people may be welcome to stay. I try to go to bed by 10 most weeknights, but weekends are a toss up. Also, I have gone through the effort to be completely verified by CS, please have some elements of your profile verified if you would like to stay with me.

PHILOSOPHY
Always leave things/places better than you found them. Remember that you share a world with others so don't create and live in just your own. Be respectful of others, their possessions, their ideas, space etc. I believe in playing hard only after working hard.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love traveling and meeting new people, but I am more comfortable as a host than a guest. It's my goal to provide a safe, comfortable place and hopefully fun place to stay when visiting my city.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surfed through Columbia a couple years back and it was a positive experience and hosted my first official CS'ers a couple years ago which was also another positive experience. Now I mainly prefer to host, since my travel is sporadic and I like to kind of do my own thing most of the time.
Interests
Hiking, Biking, exercising, My Dogs, hanging with friends around a bonfire drinking beer, meeting new and friendly people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly enjoy country music, but also like alternative and classic rock. I can pretty much appreciate any music in it's own right however. Some of my favorite bands are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beatles, Alabama, Counting Crows, Crash Test Dummies, Slightly Stoopid, Toby Keith, Tom Petty to name a few.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I thought it was pretty amazing that I lived in a cave in Norway above the arctic circle for a month.
