CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to ride my bike from the Vendée to Morocco, where I will meet up with my friend who is working there with the American Peace Corps - Mon projet, c'est de voyager de la vendée jusqu'au sud de l'espagne et eventuellement le Maroc...

ABOUT ME

I am a gracious and easy going guest. About me, i have many interests. All sorts of sports (volleyball especially beach, hockey, biking, snowboarding and cross country skiing), lots of different styles of music and I love to read. I´m also someone who is always looking to know more, in other words very curious. I value highly in other people sincerity, education and perspective. I also am interested in learning languages, the current project is Spanish!

PHILOSOPHY

Historical consciousness, which comes from studying history. One realizes the essential condition of human existence through time is irony, the difference between expectations and outcome or reality. with this knowledge gleamed, one chooses to view this gap through the lens of comedy (when possible) rather than tragedy, although this is a hard ideal. Historical consciousness also reminds one that many people across time have faced the same human dillemas in their lives, and so a sort of comforting camraderie is established. A sense of insigificance, also is important to me, not in a way that devalues oneself but reminds one of their smallness in relation to other things.

I've just signed up for couchsurfing while I'm travelling and hope to host when I return home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a newbee to couch surfing. I have now stayed at 6 peoples places and enjoyed each experience. I think this could be an addicting way to travel. I am always touched by the generosity of my hosts, who have helped me so much on this trip.
